Our Annual Parish Meeting begins at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 21. You will receive and review the Annual Report. Vestry elections will take place. You will be invited to share what's on your mind about St. Augustine's.
For the past 10 years, the Shoebox Ministry has been a special way for donors and churches to connect with the school children of St. Barthélémy's. Nearly 9,000 boxes filled with Christmas cheer have been sent over the last decade and we are so grateful. Sadly, the Shoebox Ministry will not take place in 2016. With over 900 school children, this program has grown into a process larger in scope than we can handle logistically or financially.
The spirit of Christmas giving will continue, however, but it will be done in Haiti. Gifts will be purchased in Haiti or some sort of fun field trip will be planned that is age/grade appropriate. It is a way for us to stimulate the Haitian economy and trim ministry costs. If you would like to continue to be a part of this special time, we welcome donations to the School to help fund this Christmas giving. As always, we give thanks for your support.
