Outreach Ministries

Path to Shine
Path to Shine seeks to inspire underserved children to achieve their dreams using the talents of adult volunteers. For more information, please follow the link: http://pathtoshine.weebly.com/

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of ladies (men are invited and we would love to have them come) who either crochet, knit or quilt. Prayer Shawls are made with lots of prayers woven into them and are then blessed by Father Barry. These shawls and blankets are distributed to people who may be sick, celebrating  birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, loss of a loved one, and the list goes on and on. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall. If you know someone you would like to join us to share your art, please come to our meeting. We would love to have you.

Calvary Refuge Center
In Forest Park, provides transitional housing and night shelter to many of Southside Atlanta's homeless men and women. There is a Collection Box in Gathering Room for toiletries, towels and washcloths. Proceeds from Penny Jug in Parish Hall go to Purchasing Public Transit tokens for Calvary Refuge guests.

Holy Comforter Episcopal Church
A mission parish of the Diocese of Atlanta. Many of the congregation are mentally ill individuals who live in personal care homes in southeast Atlanta. St. Augustine's provides several evenings meals each year.

Meals on Wheels
Volunteers deliver prepared meals to the elderly and disabled in the Forest Park area. St. Augustine's are scheduled every Tuesday, except third Tuesday of the Month. The food delivered may be nourishing to the body, but the human contact with these homebound  people is perhaps more important.
